Arctic P14 PWM PST: Unbeatable in its segment

What is fascinating about the Arctic P14 is the particularly high contrast of price to (cooling) efficiency. These fans are among the cheapest, while at the same time achieving top results with respect to all 140 mm fans in terms of airflow per unit of noise. And that’s even through obstacles. Arctic has made almost the maximum out of the funds available to produce the fan, and it is definitely worth it.

Results: Speed

Note: The stated speeds are measured in a non-restrictive, obstacle-free environment. With obstacles present, the fans will be slowed down. The degree will vary fan to fan but the achieved speeds will simply be slightly different. They are lower mostly in modes normalized by different noise levels.









Why is there a missing value sometimes? There may be more reasons. Usually it is because the fan could not be adjusted to the target noise level. Some have a higher minimum speed (or the speed is low, but the motor is too noisy) or it is a slower fan that will not reach the higher decibels. But the results in the graphs are also missing if the impeller is brushing against the nylon filter mesh. In that case, we evaluate this combination as incompatible. And zero in the graphs is naturally also in situations where we measure 0.00. This is a common occurrence at extremely low speeds with obstructions or within vibration measurements.

Arctic’s new „pro“ variant of Liquid Freezer III (Pro) AIO

The new Liquid Freezer III Pro liquid coolers introduce one highly visible change compared to previous models (Liquid Freezer III) without the “Pro” designation. For the price/performance! Arctic Freezer 36 A-RGB (White)

Even with two fans, this cooler is a very good option. Compared to similar and typically cheaper designs with four heatpipes, it can handle significantly higher loads. This is true on both the latest Intel platform (LGA 1851) and AMD Ryzen 9000 processors (AMD AM5). There is also a certain benefit to these things around cooling performance in mounting via a custom retention bracket (ILM) around the processor socket. Read more “For the price/performance!
