Compatibility of Endorfy coolers with new Intel processors
Today, the new generation of Intel’s desktop processors, the Core Ultra 200 (or Series 2), also codenamed Arrow Lake, was officially unveiled. These will be Intel’s first chiplet desktop CPUs, and once again use a new socket, the LGA 1851, which is physically different from the existing ones. However, cooler compatibility should be a solved problem – Endorfy coolers, for example, already have support for the new socket.
Endorfy has confirmed to us that all of the company’s current cooler lines are already compatible with the new Intel LGA 1851 platform. The manufacturer explicitly confirms compatibility with the Spartan 5 (this probably also includes the Spartan 5 Max), Fera 5, Fortis 5 and derivatives of theses coolers with a dual fans or RGB fans.
What is also compatible with processors for the new LGA 1851 are the various liquid coolers of the Navis F series (F240, F280, F360 and their ARGB versions). We assume that this applies not only to specimens that were already sold under the Endorfy brand, but also those that still had the logo with the former traditional SilentiumPC brand, before the renaming to Endorfy.
Even previously purchased coolers in these series should be compatible, so owners can upgrade to Core Ultra 200 / Arrow Lake without further investment in a cooler. The new socket does have more pins (1851 vs. 1700 – the numbers in the socket designations are based on the actual number of contacts), but this change was made without changing the dimensions of the mounting aparatus or the spacing of the holes in the board for the coolers’ needs.

This should mean that it is possible to mount mostly any cooler that already has compatibility with LGA 1700 onto an Arrow Lake processor. Of course, you have to take into account the power consumption it is designed for and the maximum power consumption of the CPU in question.
During the at the previous socket change, Endorfy (as SilentiumPC then) also offered adapters adding LGA 1700 platform compatibility for the Spartan 4, Fera 3, Fortis 3 and Grandis 2/3 coolers plus the Navis RGB, Navis EVO ARGB and Navis Pro models. We expect that with such an adapter these models will also be able to be mounted on LGA 1851 socket boards. There were three different types of adapters for different models of coolers, so you need to look around for the one you would need.
